Aeration (Fescue)
Late August, September and October are the best times to plant fescue. Earlier seeding tends to undergo excessive heat stress and seeding disease, and later planting may not be fully established prior to winter. Seeding in December and early Spring is generally not recommended because the plant does not have time to develop the deep root system needed to survive the hot summer.

Shorter mowing will help prevent the seed from lodgin in tall grass. It will assist the seed-to-soil contact and lets light reach the new seedlings.

Core Aeration
Removes small cores of soil and thatch to allow air, moisture and fertilizer to penetrate down to the root zone. The cores are brought to the surface which will break down within a couple of weeks. This allows the roots of existing grass to spread out and grow deeper, creating a healthier, thicker lawn.

Starter Fertilizer
Is applied to promote healthy root development. This fertilizer is high in Phosphorous that will help the seedlings get established and survive (Note: this should be followed up with a proper year round fertilization program that will keep your lawn healthy and green).
